Step

Initial Client Meeting

The initial stage in understanding the Client’s needs is what is often called the brief, but is more like a deep dive research exercise. It is important that we work collaboratively with the Principal Hirer and their recruiting team to understand not just the needs of the role specifically, but also the current goals of the organisation, the team dynamics, any challenges that are foreseeable, and most importantly the culture of the organisation.

Developing our “Position Profile Plan”

From this research and insights of the talent market our team work together to develop a position profile plan. This includes production of documentation including company overview, and the key criteria for the role. The profile plan also includes an outline for candidate competencies, personality, traits, experience and motivations. This plan provides us with a targeted framework for our search criteria and approach. This personalised and unique profile will then be utilised to build our strategy for the search, and the development of the candidate pool.

Talent Pool Development

Utilising our position profile plan we can then cross-match our talent portfolio data built over many years assisting career seekers and their broader networks.
Our goal is to meet with, interview and critically evaluate the most talented professionals with the focus on discovering beyond their aptitude to their attitude, cultural fit, and readiness for the role. Ultimately this will enhance the placement process by presenting only candidates who have a genuine alignment to the role and the culture. This process sounds straight forward but it takes thorough exploration, going beyond the standard techniques, and personalising the discovery approach with each of the candidates. As we navigate and co-ordinate this process, we are keenly aware of ensuring consistent communications and feedback to all parties. Ultimately ensuring a good experience and ongoing engagement.

The Introduction and Selection

A clear profile report of our selection is then presented and considered in collaboration with our clients. Ideally interviews are then coordinated, either at the Businesses premises, or our offices can be utilised when an offsite location is preferred. Phase 1 interviews can also be organised utilising video conferencing if the client or candidate’s locations prevents a viable face to face meeting in the initial phase.

The Final Selection Stage

Post phase one interviews with the candidate pool we will work directly with you to discuss, and assist with any further considerations in the final selection of lead candidates. At the final interviewing stage, which may include more than one candidate, we will conduct reference checking for the finalists to garnish the last insights that may assist in selection.
As an advocate for our clients, we will also conduct due diligence, and verify higher graduate qualifications, relevant certification and licenses, including Visa entitlements. A compliance report that details all references and checks will be provided and can be reviewed and kept on company files if the candidate is employed.

Finalising the Match

The final step in the process is developing the mutually beneficial package. Having invested the time understanding our candidates in the early part of the process, we can assist with compensation development and offer a favourable and agreeable outcome.
We will also ensure that the successful candidate has clarity, and is prepared for their new role’s commencement including any onboarding and special requirements.
During the period of transfer to their new company, we will maintain contact with the successful candidate to ensure a smooth transition and to also maintain their enthusiasm and readiness for their new career choice. We ensure that they are as ready and as happy as they can be during a period that is often considered a significant change to their lives.
We will also coordinate with HR or recruiting teams to ensure all stakeholders are well informed regarding negotiations, acceptance, contracting and commencement plans.
