The Laurence Story
The journey began in 2010 when founder and CEO Rebecca Laurence returned to Australia after working as a senior executive in the Middle East. She encountered frustration with the traditional recruitment landscape, both as a candidate and from a hiring manager’s perspective. Rebecca recognised a clear gap in the market, a need for genuine care, honesty, and transparency in recruitment.
Driven by a desire to transform the industry, Rebecca founded Laurence Executive Recruitment with core values at the heart of the business: honesty, transparency, empathy, integrity, courage, and resilience. From the beginning, the mission has been to combine deep industry expertise with a personal, people-first approach, ensuring every placement is a meaningful match for both candidate and client.

Dean is an integral part of the team and a key specialist in C-suite and Board appointments. His career spans senior executive roles at Wesfarmers, UGL, Leighton Contractors, and Laing O’Rourke. Dean mentors young executives and is a graduate of Leadership Victoria.
John Davies, Director
John has over 20 years of recruitment experience as a founding partner at Chorus Executive. He leads the Manufacturing and Industrial practice and senior positions across Facilities Management and Critical Infrastructure. His background in FMCG, Consumer Goods, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and General Management ensures the delivery of exceptional executive solutions tailored to client needs.
